Morris Family Camp-out

My Dad his Brothers and Mom planned a little family camp-out at vallcitto lake for them and their kids, but my Mom, Dad, Kammie, Aaron the boys and I ended up being the only ones that were able to go. We had a great time, enjoying a little rain shower every afternoon, Great food, relaxing, kayaking and fishing.
First we set up our little home away from home, the boys love sleeping in a tent.

Working on dinner, yummy!!!

My three boys getting ready to fish

Kammers fishing
We borrowed Aaron's parents kayaks and took them with us. The boys went out to kayak on the lake the first evening. My dad has always loved going out on the lake especially on a canoe, and it seem like every year we talk about trying to get my Dad a canoe again, but it never happens, so I wasn't sure how he would like the kayaks since he loves to canoe so much, but by the end of his first time out he said that he would rather have a kayak now. So basically everyone really enjoyed being on the water. Kammie and my Dad spent one morning fishing out of them early before any of us even got up.
Aaron and Garret, I love Garret's face he cracks me up! Aaron told him to smile and this is the face that we got.
This beautiful pan is one of my newest thrift store finds, it is an Ebelskiver pan that is cast iron. I should have got a picture of the ebelskiver pancakes cooking but I didn't, but basically you put in a little bit of pancake batter in the pan with any kind of yummy pie filling, put a little more batter on top and then you end up having a yummy little pancake ball that has fruit inside. Serve with a little syrup or powdered sugar and fresh

It is so pretty up there!
This picture makes me laugh Garret is going through this stage where he is always making funny faces any time the camera comes out, so Kammie said if you can't beat them join them, and this is what we got.

Garret just chilling in his chair by the fire.

Silly brothers, with their walking sticks or as you can see Garret is using his stick for a horse.

Garret and his super large wisher. That is what he calls this since you blow them and then make a wish.

My sister Kammie and Garret also played a little Frisbee, with a cow-pie. Kammie was teaching the boys what the pioneers use to do for entertainment
My Dad is the best camp cook ever. Here he is making his yummy dutch oven surprise

Garret found this, it was his special treasure, he called it his rose pine cone

This little chipmunk enjoyed some of the food that dropped on the ground

Grandpa and Sam playing a intense game of checkers

We also enjoyed playing in the river, it was nice and cool! My mom even enjoyed cooling off with the boys.

This one makes me laugh because Garret has been loosing all of his baby fat and getting so thin, so his pants kept falling down.
And Sam having a great time
