Rogers Family Christmas Present = A New Sewer System
Just before Thnsksgiving we found out that our sewer line was CRAPPY (in every sense of the word). It got even worse when we found out how much it would cost to replace. So being the penny pincher that I am, I wanted to just dig a big latrine and call it good (It would be like camping all the time, loads of fun). However Kassie did not agree. So for Christmas this year, Sam and I got to dig a big hole in the front yard and Kassie got a new sewer line. My favorite part was digging up the grass that I had just laid in September. It is nice not to have to go outside to use the bathroom, and another bonus is not to have POOOOOOP!!!! backing up into our house.

Visiting Gran's (and Uncle Pug's)
Gran giving the horse a carrot. Garret was not so sure about the whole thing, so he didn't get too close, although he loved to watch and be out there. He thought he was so big standing up there!
Sam is so sweet with his brother, he is always helping and playing with him!
Yesterday I took the boys out to Gran's house to visit and we raked all of the leaves off of the lawn before the rain and of course right after I finished, it started raining and it has continued off and on for the past 24 hours. Garret loved helping, he found a little dust pan and would fill it with leaves and dump them in the pot that you see behind him in the picture above, then he would laugh and do it again. Sam had fun jumping in the pile, but didn't really want to help bag all of them.

Christmas!!!
I love Christmas time, and getting together with friends and family. The past two years Sam has been big enough to put the star on the tree, Aaron holds him up and on goes the star, this year he couldn't even wait until the tree was finished. Garret wouldn't take his eyes off of the red balls (which in the end all ended up on the upper half of the tree), he tried and tried to get one off of the tree, but finely stopped after he realized that Sam was not going to let him have one no matter what he did, Sam would say in a very sweet voice "no no Garret those are not for you, those are for our pretty Christmas tree". Garret is now over the excitement of the tree and luckily we have had no broken ornaments this year. (sorry, but I don't know how to turn my picture!)
