All of these pictures are not in any special order, but they do show the fun surprise party that Sam and Garret thought they would have for their Daddy. It all started with a Max and Ruby episode that they watched out at Gran's house where Max and Ruby have a surprise party for their Mom. So they had to do the same for Aaron, and they did pretty well keeping the secret. They thought that we needed to go to the party store and get decorations, Garret wanted to find party hats that said 30 on them and Sam wanted to get just about everything, so off we went and the boys found everything that they wanted. We planned a yummy dinner and cake. We did keep things simple and just had family over for the most part. Sam had it all planned he wanted people to be here before Aaron got off work, I didn't really know what he was going to do, but when he saw Aaron pull up he ran around closing the blinds and told everyone to hide and then say surprise. It actually surprised me that he knew what to do.
Sam and Garret thought that it would be fun to have little umbrellas in the drinks, so I made a tropical fruit slush to drink, sweet and sour meatballs, over rice with skewered pineapple, bell peppers and onions grilled. Then we had Aaron's favorite triple chocolate bundt cake.
